Posh Totty Designs – Elys of Wimbledon

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Hello Flamingo were approached by the Brighton based Jewellery design company ‘Posh Totty Designs’, to refurb and manufacture a series of display cabinets for their launch into the London department store - Elys of Wimbledon. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The design brief was to refurb some existing cabinets to make them feel more contemporary and in keeping with their brand identity. The Hello Flamingo team developed a simple design using brand colours, natural woods and highlights of brushed gold. All units were externally covered with a deep navy vinyl whilst all internal cabinets were covered with a soft blush vinyl. All fixtures and fitting were sprayed with a metallic gold. To bring a natural element to the units, Hello Flaming produced birch ply cabinets tops and birch ply bases to sit inside each of the cabinets. To showcase their ‘Personalise Here’ area, Hello flamingo produced a workbench for the onsite jewellery team...

Ted Baker – Airport Shoot

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Hello Flamingo don’t just create window and instore displays – we also create amazing set pieces for filming and shoots. When Ted Baker required a holiday scene to film content for their website, highlighting their Summer 2018 collection, Hello Flamingo were called upon to create an entire stretch of airport! [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] Cunningly constructed from moveable set pieces and designed to fit within the confines of a photography studio, Hello Flamingo produced walls, signage, and even a moving luggage conveyor belt! Furniture and airport lounge style seating was sourced to create the right look and feel, and even greenscreen window frames were produced, to enable Ted Baker to apply jet setting runway footage in post-production.   All of this set was built and de-rigged in less than a week, allowing for multiple set and scenery changes throughout the days, to create a massive library of great shots for their marketing team to choose from. [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] To celebrate the collaboration between London luxury boutique Browns Fashion and New York fashion designer Michael Halpern, whose London-based Halpern label is known for being a ‘cavalcade of sequins and colour’, at the AW18 London Fashion Week, Hello Flamingo were brought in to manufacture a series of incredible window displays for the Browns Fashion boutique on South Molton Street, London. The multi-faceted mirror back wall window had a red neon sign reading ‘AFTER MIDNIGHT’, which reflected in the mirror to give an infinite effect. Oasis – Make a Splash

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Oasis Fashion collaborated with the team at Petra Storrs, a creative design and art direction company, who designed their SS18 campaign, which had the tagline ‘Make a Splash’. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] Taking inspiration from their photoshoot, Petra Storrs approached Hello Flamingo to turn their designs in to a reality for the Oasis one-day press event at Nine Adam Street, London. The Hello Flamingo in-house production team created a number of incredible bespoke props for the event. A life-sized whales tail, hand carved from polystyrene, was fibre glass coated and covered in a silver holographic fabric, with holographic sequin barnacles. The tail popped out of the floor with a bespoke formed acrylic water splash and matched perfectly to the floor graphic which included an image of the rest of the whale. A giant anchor, also covered in holographic fabric with sequin barnacles and acrylic splashes, held a prop chain which worked as a rail to showcase garments...

Aquascutum – AW17

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Design direction from client: ‘Monochrome with a colour accent; a break from black and white. Colour is a powerful force; that draws our focus to the intrinsic features of the pieces photographed. Images are cropped with purpose to accentuate the beauty of the cloth, texture and details.’ [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The client wanted to have over-sized/giant cut-outs of the campaign imagery centre-stage, as larger than life standalone props. The colour palette was mostly monochromatic, and it was Hello Flamingo’s job to drive the creative concept to include the camouflage print. So, the design team gave each of the cut-outs their own camouflage shadow – which you can find in the season’s collection. The camo shadows were set 50mm back from the photography to give a sense of depth and all the cut-outs were staggered in the window to enhance that feeling of depth. The cut-outs were huge, some were over 3m high to fill the...

Missguided – Giant Banana

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Hello Flamingo were really happy to be asked to continue their collaboration with the creative team at Missguided and create bespoke props for the new store opening in Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] The props were a giant disco ball banana and mermaid’s tails fitted to mannequins. All designs and concepts were brought to us by Treasure Evans, Missguided’s Retail Visual Manager, winner of the Most Innovative Person Within VM award at the 2017 VM and Display Awards. The 4.2m long banana was hand carved from polystyrene and fibre-glassed by the Hello Flamingo in-house production team. The top of the banana was covered, by hand, in 38,000 individual mirror tiles! The inside of the peel was flocked in a realistic off-white flock and the outside of the banana was sprayed high gloss yellow. In store the banana sits on its own stage, and with a steel armature inside the banana it has strength and rigidity making...
