Matches – LFW / AW17For our third year running, we were asked by the creative team at Matches Fashion to work with them and designers for London Fashion Week, January 2017. Window displays in the Ledbury Road and Marylebone stores, showcased pieces from Roksanda, Stella McCartney, among others. Working across a wide range of materials and finishes, the project so the workshop come to life.
The Roksanda window display was created with a freestanding plywood box with a puzzle of wood offcuts in different colours and textures. Some pieces were added to give a real pop of colour. Recessed shapes were made to fit the beautifully crafted handbags perfectly.
The Stella McCartney window display was a real statement! A bespoke steel frame was made in-house to fit the acrylic cut out lettering, spelling: MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS ONLY. All the letters were cut in 3 different colours of acrylic and layered on top of each other to give depth.
The Marleybone store, showcased a number of the designers products at LFW. Large coloured acrylic columns stood in the window with contrasting coloured aluminium edging. Clear acrylic shelves held product and gave the illusion of the items floating.
All displays were installed overnight by the Hello Flamingo team.
We loved working on this really creative display and manufacturing the props in our workshop, co-ordinating with both the creative team at Matches Fashion and the designers.
