Matches Fashion – London Fashion weekHello Flamingo were asked to work with Matches Fashion and their collaboration with designers for London Fashion week, September 2015. Window displays in the Ledbury Roads stores and Marlebone store, for Shrimps, Hillier Bartley, Craig Green and Malone Souliers emulated their AW15 collection campaign shots.
The Hillier Bartley window display was created with wall panels, fly postered to look like an outdoor wall, lush gold curtains and tie backs, mint green carpet and vintage chair. The contrast in the different items created a theatrical scheme.
Shrimps window display was pure glitter! All the walls and floors were covered in black iris glitter and the Hello Flamingo workshop carved a giant polystyrene rock, covered in lashings of glitter.
The Malone Souliers window display was created by the prop manufacture of a large reclaimed parquet floor plinth to sit in the window bed for the shoes to be displayed. Fitted pull down blind in the window left the shoes to be revealed .
Working with Craig Green on concepts for the menswear window went through various development stages with the designer opting for the installation to be made from his clothes range. Craig created a parachute display with garments, fabric and industrial fixings.
White gloss plinths were also manufactured for the Marleybone Store shoe display.
We loved working on this creative display and the prop manufacture in our workshop, co-ordinating with both the creative team at Matches Fashion and the Designers.
